We provide a professional three-stage floor sanding service using our own machines with industrial dust extraction to capture around 95% of dust at source. This keeps the working area remarkably clean while helping protect the rest of your home. By reducing airborne dust, we achieve a smoother oil or lacquer finish. We are always open about what our equipment can realistically deliver and never claim to be completely dust-free. 
Our wood floor restoration service is designed for floors that require more than sanding alone. We first make the floor structurally sound by repairing damaged boards, securing loose sections and filling gaps before sanding the entire surface. Once the timber is prepared, we can add your chosen colour and protect it with an oil or lacquer finish. We assess every floor individually to ensure the work reflects its specific needs. 
We restore parquet floors by securing loose blocks, replacing missing sections with carefully matched reclaimed timber, and sanding the entire surface to achieve a smooth, consistent finish. Every repair is completed before refinishing begins, ensuring a solid foundation. We use the appropriate materials and techniques to preserve the pattern and create a seamless appearance throughout. 
Our wood floor repair service restores damaged floors by re-fixing loose blocks, replacing worn boards with reclaimed timber, and addressing gaps and squeaks where required. We provide expert stair sanding with every tread carefully sanded and finished by hand, while the risers are prepared for painting by your decorator. We are open about the fact that full staircase sanding cannot be completely dust-free, so we work carefully, protect your home and clean thoroughly afterwards. Our wood floor installation service delivers expertly fitted engineered oak floors tailored to each room. We help clients choose the right boards, patterns and finishes using real samples before work begins. Dean has been in flooring since he was 17, which is now more than two decades of fitting, sanding and finishing floors across South London. The trade runs in the family: his dad Alan is a chimney sweep, the fifth generation of Naish & Sons, sweeping since 1870, and Dean grew up in Coulsdon riding along to jobs in his dad's van.

So happy with Dean and team. Communication was quick and clear. We bought a house which had horrible dark floors everywhere. We were costing replacing the engineered wood but someone suggested trying to sand what is there. The guys did a fantastic job at sanding the floors with care. The results were night and day. Wow! Very impressed with this company our floors are beautiful. We went for a darker stain and the coat is very even. Our skirting boards havent been touched either from the sanding or staining. They were very careful and did such a neat job taking real care around what they did. We also didnt have any dust in the house or around the room either again sometbing I was surprised with. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and take real care and pride in their work. Thank you Dean and your colleague who joined you (sorry I didnt remember his name).

The best floormen in the business. They passionately care and it shows in the results. Luke, Joe and Frank painstakingly renewed 100m2 of oak flooring at our house this December. Moving furniture (incl heavy piano), fixing pre-existing gouges in our floor and working the weekend to get the job done. Prices bang in line with the other quotes we received - no extras. An absolute pleasure to have in our house for a week. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Dean and his team provided a 5-star professional service. We had our ugly laminate flooring ripped out and the hardwood floorboards underneath restored to their original splendor. Dean was able to carefully match the finish to that in our existing rooms, making the whole flat come together. They completed the job early, and worked overtime to ensure they were finished by our move-in date. The follow-up care was clearly communicated and the floors have come up absolutely beautifully. We were so impressed with the care the team took in everything that they did; they treated our house as they would their own. Dean even took time to answer unrelated questions about flooring in other areas of our home - and when another builder in our property failed to remove his rubbish, Dean arranged a collection of all of it. We genuinely couldn't recommend Howard Naish enough; they're the best!

We had our kitchen/dining room floor restored. The quotes were good; clear, straight forward - no hidden extras. They were flexible & accommodating, they gave good sound honest advice with no nonsense! The work itself was to a very high standard.
