Gap filling - Typically small gaps can be filled with sanding dust mixed with resin. For larger gaps in floorboards it is possible to fill the gaps with slivers of wood which are then sanded level.

We love Rubio Monocoat oil as it is a one coat system and has excellent durability. Developed and produced in Belgium, Rubio Monocoat works by creating a molecular bond with the wood. Only one coat is required making it a convenient system for our customers. The default finish is very matt, making it ideal for those wanting a very natural look and feel.

We were contacted by Mickle Trafford village school to sand & lacquer the Assembly hall & gymnasium. The flooring was a solid strip Maple with an aged, dull lacquer and scuffs & marks consistent with heavy use.

Overall although the wood was in good condition, the general appearance was dull and very tired. The Bona Belt sander was used to sand existing old varnish off the boards. We work from a coarse to a fine grit sandpaper to smooth the boards and prepare for the new finish.

A - The time taken will depend on the area, type of flooring, condition of flooring and the required finish. We can advise approximate times when visiting your home to provide an estimate.
