read more › The wooden floor was in an awful state possibly one of the worst we have seen, there were lots of broken floorboards including patches of rotten wood. Some of the floorboards had been replaced by builders who used new pine wood instead of reclaimed floorboards of the period and to top it all the majority of the floor was covered in glue where an old floor covering had been removed, it was a mess! We cut out all the nasty damaged boards and replaced with some locally sourced reclaimed Victorian Pine we began patching it together making sure that all joints were staggered to avoid the repairs becoming obvious.
