Engineered wood flooring has gained in popularity over the last few years and is made up of layers of softwood with a hardwood veneer affixed to the top.
It is a little more durable than solid wood flooring as it can be laid as a floating floor over many existing sub-floor types and is less prone to movement caused by humidity.

Carpetwise have been excellent - great choice of carpets, and very helpful in the store - excellent customer service.
Quote was reasonable and they very quickly responded to queries and additional underlay that I asked for.
The fitter did a fantastic job and worked extremely hard.
I can't recommend Carpetwise enough and will definitely be using them again!
The whole process was excellent, from the staff in the showroom who helped us select the right carpet without being pushy, to the fitters who were superb.
