Revive Floor Sanding has experience in a broad spectrum of commercial and domestic floors, ranging from restoring village halls, sports complexes, pubs and restaurants to soft wood and hard wood boards, parquet and period floors in people's homes. We are continually investing in the latest dust free sanding machinery and the oil, lacquer and sanding products we use are sourced from market leading companies as it is our experience that lower quality products just do not stand the test of time.

We offer a free survey and written estimate prior to commencing work and, in order to cause a minimum amount of fuss and disruption, we will do what we can, within reason to accommodate our client's specific requirements. Revive Floor Sanding Company Limited provides professional wooden floor restoration services in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas of East Anglia.

Services
Revive Floor Sanding Company was started by Dominic Longhurst in 2006, when he realised that there was a need for the specialist restoration of wooden floors in the surrounding area.
He is extremely experienced in sanding floors of all timbers and ages and sealing them with a range of finishes, including lacquer, oil, hard wax oil, floor paint and lye.
Dominic has completed training courses in using products and equipment from the industry leaders Bona, Osmo and Festool.
We are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers so only use top quality products and the latest equipment which generates very little dust and so minimises disruption and mess.
The sanding process starts with giving your floor a good clean and then taking out any tacks, staples, carpet grippers or unwanted screws and nails.
Boards and floors are carefully inspected during our initial survey and it is at this stage that any damaged sections are repaired.
The large belt sander, which is 97% dust free, is then used.
The appropriate coarse sanding grit is initially used to level and clean the floor, after which progressively finer grits are used in order to make your floor as smooth as possible.
At Revive, we specialise in restoring domestic floors of all ages.
However, we have also had the privilege of working on some really historic floors such as those in: Christ's, Jesus, Fitzwilliam and Peterhouse Colleges as well as Ely Cathedral, Chippenham Lodge and the Guildhall in Cambridge.
We also carry out work for building companies, including FA Valiant and Son, RM Construction, Cocksedge and JCE George.
There are pros and cons for both treatments but in a domestic environment there is little to choose between them.
The wear and tear on a commercial floor such as a restaurant or museum is far more significant.
Wooden floors, lacquered or oiled, will require care and re-coating.
The protective barrier that lacquer creates will wear through in time and it is important to apply a fresh lacquer coat before this happens.
If it does wear through to the timber any dust and dirt on the floor will be trodden in to the wood grain.
