Business Details
We are Lino Len, Berkshires longest-established flooring specialist with over 50 years of operational experience serving residential and commercial clients across the region. Our founder, Lino Len Gilson, completed a full City and Guilds apprenticeship at Caleys (JLP) of Windsor more than five decades ago, building a foundational skillset that we have expanded through domestic and international project work ever since. We have installed flooring in a diverse range of high-profile locations, from cruise ships and Moroccan palaces to New York apartments, French chateaux and English stately homes, honing our ability to adapt to unique project requirements. Our team consists of fully qualified, personally vetted installers with longstanding ties to our business, ensuring consistent, high-quality workmanship on every job we undertake. We hold Karndean and Amtico approved supplier and installer status, alongside accreditations from numerous other leading flooring manufacturers, demonstrating our adherence to industry-leading standards. We are members of the Federation of Small Businesses, hold valid City & Guilds qualifications, and carry 5 million in public liability insurance to give our clients complete peace of mind.
We offer free measuring, surveying and estimating services, with evening appointments available to accommodate clients with busy daytime schedules. We provide free, no-obligation estimates from architectural and building plans, as well as a complimentary home sample delivery service to support informed flooring selection. We undertake all subfloor preparation work in line with manufacturer recommendations, including screed and plywood installation, to guarantee the longevity of every flooring we fit. We pride ourselves on transparent, honest service with no unnecessary jargon, and the vast majority of our new business comes from personal recommendations from satisfied returning clients, including multi-generational families who have used our services for decades. We are committed to matching written like-for-like estimates from major national retailers for supply and installation, delivering competitive pricing without compromising on the quality of our work or materials.
